I visited a Domestic Violence house today which was an amazing experience.
This home has been set up for women who are victims of domestic violence as a temporary escape until they get their feet off the ground again. This can be anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months.
It is a very basic but homely house where all the furniture has been donated by people from members of the community. This house is not government funded but is the initiative of one lovely family who is committed to making a difference in these women’s lives.
Empassion is committed to supporting women who are victims of domestic abuse. We team up with women’s shelters and do what we can to help them feel special & worthy. Our small way of helping is by way of providing the women with skin care products presented in beautiful cases.
The women were so appreciative when I brought them all packs (which contained 8 Empassion products) which came presented in our beautiful Paris boxes. They were all so excited and came around the table eager to look and smell the products and immediately starting looking through our catalogue at all our beautiful items. They loved the smell of the products and it got them opening up to me. While they couldn’t show their faces on camera, they showed their appreciation by their lovely words.
In fact they were so inspired by what the name ‘Empassion’ stands for… Empowerment and Compassion… and loved our ethos. They were awestruck that a business would actually think of them in their difficult times..
I love what Empassion stands for…. It made all my hard work at Empassion worth every single moment when I was able to see the faces of those women experience something special in their lives as they deal with some tough personal times.
It further inspired me to get up every morning and do something good in my life every day. I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
Empassion… Empowerment & Compassion.
